🌟 Editor's Note

Thank you for joining us at The Craft of Play! I don’t take it for granted that you took a flyer and handed over your email address to this fledgling organization. The initial idea for this organization grew out of individual conversations and a recognition that something was missing. Particularly for small businesses in the world of play.

The next few months will be focused on finding our editorial groove and publishing. For many people, examples are the best way to learn as they can relate them to what they already know. So instead of trying to explain some big vision right away- I am simply going to publish.

The earliest content you will see us publishing are in the areas of puzzles and costuming. Our areas will expand over time as we keep meeting people and fleshing out what to write about for different areas. All of our topics and content will also be brand safe topics related to the industry of play.

One of our goals with The Craft of Play is conducting original industry research on the industries of play. Our first research survey is open now until September 1st. Our topic area is Costume Material Use and Skill building- you can read all about the survey and take the survey. We will have additional research surveys that will we run on other segments of the industry of play in the fall.
